10 teams, dispersal draft

I realized early on that given the myriad decisions and ramifications involved in restructuring, we could be doing a heck of a lot of polls if we went down that road:

-- ten teams? or eleven?
-- how many players in the draft pool? 20? 30? 40?
-- use a drop & draft system, or expand our rosters ?
-- add four starting slots ? ... two? three?
-- add bench slots instead ?
-- draft based on last year's standings?
-- open draft to all teams? bottom six ? bottom four?
-- random draft or weighted?
-- ban or allow pick trading ?
-- etc, etc ....

I chose instead to try to think through all of these different questions and ramifications and come up with a good plan for the league.

I really do not want to get into running polls on all of these issues, and I don't think the league does either.

Sounds like most guys like the approach I have laid out as being necessary, fair and logical -- and so I am going to move us forward with that.

I understand. For the farm draft, since bruins and menace's picks are removed, the first round has 11 picks, 2nd has 10 and 3rd round has 8 picks, for a total of 29 picks. That's 7 picks less than before, should we do something about it? Maybe add another round and increase farm team's limit by 1 player? Just throwing around some ideas, I know you want to keep it simple

I think the fairest and simplest approach with the farm draft is just to pass by the Bruins and Menace pick turns when they come up.

With those two teams out, and the addition of their 8 existing farm players, the draft pool is that much deeper and stronger for the remaining 10 teams.

So basically everybody gains, unless, like me, you traded away all of your picks, lol.
